Alrighty then. It&#8217;s a year end list, but there is still some timely stuff that just needs to be said.

<p style="text-align: left;">Alrighty then. It&#8217;s a year end list, but there is still some timely stuff that just needs to be said.<br />
Bear with me&#8230;it&#8217;s brief.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>1.</strong> The American Express <strong><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQk7Zh-dXCk&amp;feature=related" target="_blank">&#8220;Don&#8217;t Take Chances, Take Charge&#8221;</a></strong> commercial. Smartest ever. Personal favorite is when the stove lights on fire with worry.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/american-express-face.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-6581 aligncenter" title="american-express-face" src="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/american-express-face-300x226.jpg" alt="american-express-face" width="240" height="181" /></a></p>
<p><strong>2.</strong> <strong>The Los Angeles Opera</strong> finally got around to <a href="http://laoperaring.com/index.php" target="_blank"><strong>Wagner&#8217;s Ring Cycle</strong></a>. We went. What can I say? I agree with Rita, <em>&#8220;The Ride of the Valkyries</em>&#8221; was great as were <a href="http://www.chapman.edu/music/watson.asp" target="_blank">Linda Watson</a> (Brünnhilde) and <a href="http://laoperaring.com/artist/semenchuk.ekaterina.php" target="_blank">Ekaterina Semenchuk</a> (Frika). But I fear they were the best of it. We assembled at dinner to discuss and came up with this: <strong>The Achim Freyer Petting Zoo</strong>. I wanted to do live action or rather just a live corral of painted pets in front of the Music Center, but would have settled for a Photoshop version. Needless to say, I think that the Petting Zoo was one of the great ideas of 2009 that never got acted on. Probably a few more off those out there. <strong>Send me yours!</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/screen_walkure.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6577" title="screen_walkure" src="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/screen_walkure.jpg" alt="screen_walkure" width="471" height="158" /></a></p>
<p><strong>3. The Orphan</strong> movie billboard campaign. So many people wanted to talk about it&#8230;mostly how creeped-out they were, but we seemingly just couldn&#8217;t get enough of it.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">
<p><strong>4.</strong> The return of <a href="http://www.nau.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Nau</strong></a>. One of my favorite clothing lines. Great looking with all the right stuff: Sustainable Business Practices, Environmental Friendly Clothing, Social Responsiblity. You are gonna feel good about the way you look!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/091209_home_w6_740x3901.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-6610 aligncenter" title="091209_home_w6_740x3901" src="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/091209_home_w6_740x3901-300x158.jpg" alt="091209_home_w6_740x3901" width="300" height="158" /></a></p>
<p><strong>5.</strong> For you business folks out there, <a href="http://www.dilbert.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Dilbert</strong></a> still has chops.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/image003.gif"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6621" title="image003" src="http://www.timesquotidian.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/image003.gif" alt="image003" width="512" height="159" /></a></p>
<p><strong>6.</strong> Lastly, one from my <a href="http://www.shazam.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Shazam</strong></a> list&#8230;this is such a hard choice. I tend to tag trance/dance music which is not exactly a quick listen and I promised brevity. And&#8230;I have to cop to <strong>True Blood</strong> as being my shameless vampire obsession.<br />
So here you go, from the great <a href="http://www.bing.com/reference/semhtml/Slim_Harpo?sids=2&amp;q=slim+harpo&amp;qpvt=slim+harpo" target="_blank">Slim Harpo</a>, <strong>Strange Love.</strong></p>
